How to Encrypt Your Android Device




Encryption is something that we all need it at some point of time. For securing your data’s, Android devices include an application which gives you the option of encrypting everything on your device. From music to videos, from downloaded data to messaging logs, everything on your Android smart phone or Tablet can be encrypted using this feature.

If your phone contains some sensitive data or information that you don’t want to disclose to anyone, encrypting your device makes sense. Encryption stores the data in unreadable form and requires encryption password for accessing the data. This can be very helpful to Business personalities who keeps some vital data on their phones or even to normal peoples, giving them extra layer of security.

How to Do that?
Encrypting your device may take an hour or even more time, depending on how much data you have on your smart phone. So, it’s better to plug your device before starting the process. If the process is interrupted for any reason, you might lose your data.
Along with that, you must have lock screen PIN or Password set up, as Android won’t allow you to encrypt the device until Lock Screen PIN or password is created.
With all this set, it’s time to encrypt your Android’s phone storage.
Open settings ->Security -> Tap on Encrypt Phone/Tablet under Encryption.

Tap on Encrypt button. The message will pop up asking you to plug your smart phone or Tablet if not plugged in yet.

Before agreeing, you have to give your lock screen PIN or password to proceed with the encryption process. It will take some time to complete the full process depending upon the amount of data you hold.
